We take the organisation entirely off your hands, from the room layout and catering to the welcome arrangements for your guests, so you can spend the day with family and friends remembering the person you have lost.
The Wood Norton is one of the closest venues to The Vale Crematorium, just over a mile away. For families gathering after a service at The Vale, our location makes the journey straightforward for guests of all ages, with generous on-site parking and step-free access throughout the ground floor.
The Main Hall
The Main Hall at The Wood Norton is a beautifully warm and characterful setting for an intimate funeral reception. The Boardroom, Terrace Lounge and Bredon Lounge connect naturally to create a welcoming reception space, with direct access to the Hall Bar and the hotel's grounds.
For larger gatherings, the Fleur de Lys Restaurant can be incorporated into the space, bringing in the hotel's famous wood-panelled surroundings and beautiful views across the Worcestershire countryside. Whether your gathering is small and quiet or brings together a large group of family, friends and colleagues, the Main Hall can be arranged to suit the occasion.

The Orangery
The Orangery is The Wood Norton's largest space and an exceptional setting for a funeral reception that brings together a large number of guests. Set beside the Main Hall, it features a stunning glass frontage with panoramic views over Bredon Hill and the Worcestershire countryside.
The Orangery can accommodate up to 150 guests for a funeral reception and has its own private bar area, private terrace and gardens. The natural light and open outlook of the space give it a sense of calm and space that many families find particularly fitting for a day of remembrance. Guests can move freely between the inside space and the terrace and gardens, which can be a welcome comfort on the day.
Our team will dress and arrange The Orangery to suit the tone of the occasion, whether you are planning a formal reception with seated catering or a more relaxed gathering with buffet-style food and drinks.

We are experienced in catering for guests with a wide range of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. All of this can be discussed with Grace when you get in touch. There is no obligation to choose a package at the point of inquiry. We will talk through what you have in mind and suggest options that work for your guest numbers and your budget.
