At The Wood Norton, sustainability isn’t just a trend—it’s a core part of who we are. We are committed to reducing waste, reusing resources, recycling more, and repeating these efforts to ensure a cleaner, greener environment for everyone.

Sustainability Pledge

Plastic-Free Commitment

We have removed all plastic straws, stirrers and plastic bottles from the bar, restaurant, and rooms.

Cooking with Clean Energy

Our kitchen is cooking on gas..or should we say electric! We have removed all gas appliances from our kitchen and replaced them with electric units to cut our gas consumption and increase the use of more renewable energy.

Bee-Friendly Gardens

Our hotel grounds not only look good, but they do good too. From planting plenty of bee-friendly flowers in our gardens to support the local eco-system, to creating our very own bee hives... The Wood Norton is home to guests large and small.

State-of-the-Art Wastewater Treatment

We have teamed up with Wood Norton Richmond Villages and SPE Ltd to install a new state of the art sewage treatment plant that will significantly improve wastewater quality prior to discharging it into the environment.

No Single-Use Plastics in Our Washrooms

We are no longer using any single use plastics when it comes to our shower gels and shampoos and we now exclusively use re-usable containers in our wash-rooms.

Sustainable Coffee

Wake up and smell the sustainable coffee...That's right all Wood Norton coffee is directly sourced from Lavazza, not only renowned for its great taste and superior quality, but also its sustainability.

EV Charging points 

We have mapped out the next stages in our sustainable journey, including the review of The Wood Norton supply chain, together with the installation of a food composter to prevent kitchen waste and electric vehicle EVI charging points within the hotel carpark. 10 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Points, now available for use with the EVC Plus App. This is just one step in our commitment to creating a more sustainable future.
